On the Fly

One of my favorite things to do is a photo shoot on the fly. I love to take a willing participant and let the surroundings inspire me. You know, just go with it. My niece has been my muse on several occasions. This time we were in Boise visiting them and the whole family went for a walk through the downtown city streets. Every once in a while I would see something that looked like a fun setting and I would have her jump in and do her thing. She would indulge me and pose wherever it suited my fancy. Love her!!

So, this is Ashley and, remember, this was not a serious photo shoot. Most of these are on the silly side. Just a couple of girls having a little fun.

Windswept Beauty

This "sculpture" was in the entrance of a parking garage. I thought it was so cool that we made everyone wait while we crossed the street to take a couple of shots.

Ashley doing her best impression of a turkey.

Then we went to Hobby Lobby and got crazy...so much fun!!!

Feathers
"A" is for Ashley.

Ashley is from Idaho.

She is a hot rockin' girl...

Who wants to be the next Madonna or Lady Gaga.

Originally from California and a true Disney fan.

A bit of a flower child.

She's nice to look at.

She's a fun loving girl.

Not too busy to give you the time of day.

Sometimes she drives her mother a little crazy.

She's really just an angel.

All in all, she is a beautiful, happy girl.

I love my niece!

Seize the Day

Every year we go to our out-of-town friend's house for Super Bowl weekend. I don't normally watch the game. I'm just there for the "ride". I typically amuse myself flitting about taking pictures and hanging out near the kitchen (you know, where the food is).

This year there was a new addition to one of their family members. A three-week old adorable little guy named Logan. He arrived asleep and strapped in his seat. I took a couple of  pictures of him and went on my merry way.

Once he was out and being passed around for a while, I asked his mom if I could snatch him and take a few pics. She gave me the thumbs up and away we went, just the two of us.

No wardrobe. No background changes. No plan. Just a friendly spur-of-the-moment photo shoot.

I love being spontaneous.
