Twins

I was so excited to photograph a set of twins. I crocheted some special outfits and had a whole set of different backgrounds and props specifically for two.  I had it all planned out in my mind and on paper. Little did I know that these little girls had agendas of their own and I was not consulted.

Let me just tell you that shooting twins is not as easy at it looks. At just twelve days old, I fully expected them to be tiny little sleeping bendable buddies. Not these two. These little sisters were wide awake and running the show.

Would I photograph twins again? In a heartbeat!! I still had a blast and learned a valuable lesson. Have a plan, but be prepared for anything and just go with the flow. Which pretty much goes for any photo shoot.

What a cute little family. I would love to watch these girls as they grow.

The Natural

A couple of months back I did a family photo shoot for a girl I briefly worked with. She had a daughter, Katie, that was seven and they hadn't had family photos done since she was two. It was time.

So, the day came and Katie didn't want to come. She was probably having a good time doing what she was doing. Most kids don't want to "change gears" and she probably didn't know what to expect. Once we got started, she quickly realized that she was the star of the show and we were having a fabulous time. We walked from one end of the park to the other taking pictures all along the way. On our way back she says, "I could do this all day!"... "Me, too!", I said.

We got to the playground and she wanted to play on the equipment. Her parents sat down on the bench and I followed her around as she slid and swung. Then I pulled out a blanket and had her jump on and pose. With every click, she changed her pose, her smile, her look.

She was a natural!

Newborn - Madeline

Here comes Madeline! What a little cutie.

Maddie was a Winter Baby.

Mermaid Madeline.

A Little Ballerina.

Big Brother, Grayson.

What is she dreaming of?

 The Sweetest Slumber.

Pink Polka Dots

Fashionista. Doesn't she look like she's wearing an adorable little dress?

When we first put Madeline in this outfit, she was a little unhappy. It was near the end of the shoot and we almost gave up, but Mommy wanted her baby to be a "Blueberry".

Cute little feet.

I love a Newborn Shoot!

Beach Girl

I've been trying to catch up with my niece for a while now to take some fun pics. I wanted to get a few shots of her dressed up in some crazy outfits. She is definitely into some interesting styles...exactly what I'm looking for.

She is one busy girl and we never seemed to find the time. So, just as the summer was winding down, I invited her to come along with us to the beach. It was a fun setting for an impromptu photo shoot. I took advantage of the breezy, beautiful day to get some fabulous shots of her.

I guess we will have to save the crazy outfits for another day.
